Cosmetic Surgery Is It Ok To Hide Your Cosmetic Procedures?

If you read any beauty magazines you’ve mostly likely encounter an issue with a Hollywood starlet who has obviously had some cosmetic work done, but whom flat out denies having work done or skirts the issue completely. The majority of cosmetic procedure patients are honest about their surgery;however, many men and women feel the need or desire to keep their cosmetic procedures under wraps for personal or professional reasons. Many patients manage to keep their surgery hidden, from colleagues and close friends by explaining their absence from work,or the gym on holidays or house renovations.

Many plastic surgeries and cosmetic dermatologists report that over 85% of cosmetic surgery patients go to the trouble to hide their treatment from colleagues, while almost 1 in 5 will also keep their surgery secret from their family.

Some women may discuss cosmetic procedures with direct family like their husband or parents but if close friends are nosy enough many woman may break down, and open up and share their secret. In a youth based society that treasures attractive people many women and men now feel that cosmetic surgery is vital to maintain their looks to compete in the workplace. To maintain the pretense of staying young and vital to the company many may not choose to share that they have had some small cosmetic procedures such as Botox, dermal fillers,or laser resurfacing.
