Review Of Garnier Skin Renew The Brusher Gel Cleanser
Garnier Skin Renew the Brusher Gel Cleanser has a unique selling concept in its packaging. You can’t help but notice the distinctive 5 fl. oz bottle with a strange looking brush head poking through the clear see through plastic top. The brush top consists of nine rows of rubber bristles that appear to be stiff and hard when you see them through the see through top,but when you pop off the plastic top the bristles are actually quite soft,flexible and rubbery when you touch them. The brush design is more massage than exfoliation in my opinion.
How The Product Works
The brush sits up on top of a soft plastic squeeze type bottle. To dispense the gel cleanser you need to twist the top white collar band counterclockwise and squeeze. This is sounds easier than it actually is. When I first opened the bottle the gel cleanser oozed out too easily,so go easy when you first give it a squeeze;but as I used more of the product it became more difficult. With use as the liquid gel went down inside the bottle it seemed to create a vacuum inside the bottle. This vacuum sucks the gel back into the bottle if you don’t quickly turn the collar back to the closed position,and it becomes harder to squeeze the gel up to the brush. I ended up turning the bottle upside down to keep the gel on the brush,and doing a quick manipulation of twisting the top to the closed position.
How To Use Garnier Skin Renew the Brusher Gel Cleanser
The clear gel smells very good,and a little goes a long way. However,the brush does require that you moisten your face or apply water to the brush before applying to your skin using circular motions.
I do like the light foaming action of this cleaning gel,but if you do not have a lot of cushion or fat pads (mature women) the brush can be a little uncomfortable to use if you use too much pressure on your skin. The gel contains Vitamins B5,Vitamin E,and Green Leaf Extract. The manufacture Garnier Skin Renew the Brusher Gel Cleanser states that this product smoothes skin after one use as well as deep cleaning and exfoliation.
This product does deep clean to a point,but did not remove my eye makeup,and I still had some traces of foundation around the outer areas of my face after rinsing with a clean washcloth. The gel formula is not overly drying,but it is not overly moisturizing either. After a week of use,I can’t say that my skin is smoother,softer,or glowing. The pores around my nose do look smaller,but I can’t really say that the brush does a whole lot more that when I use a clean washcloth to scrub the area.
As for exfoliation,this will not replace a weekly or bi weekly exfoliation treatment.

I think this is a good inexpensive product in the $7 dollar range for younger women who do not suffer with any major skin problems. The magnetism of this product is mostly the novelty of its bottle brush head. It does not offer retinols,vitamin C,and peptides that will keep more mature skin looking its best. There are much better products out there that will make your skin smoother,clearer,and more beautiful.
