Chemical peels are brilliant. I am fair skinned and personally I wouldn’t bother with the 12.5 or 15% TCA peels,they do very little. I started with a 30% TCA blue peel (£800) and the results were amazing. I followed up with another 30% TCA ordinary peel that cost £200 the year later and had another good result.
This can become expensive so I’ve tried TCA home peels and they work just as good. I use 20% concentration but layer it on 3 times. It can be pain full,but your skin is glowing after wards.

I went to my PS and had a 15% TCA Peel,and it is the best thing I have ever done! I use to smother my face in makeup and now I have chucked my entire make up away. And brought some mineral make up which is a lot healthier than what I was using before. I paid for four treatments,of 15%. I am on my second one on my second day and I cannot wait to see more of a difference with this one!
Cons –Hurt like hell when she was putting it on. But all I thought about was after-wards when my skin is looking awesome!
I did this because I have suffered from spots since I was 10 years old,and from that age,I use to pick at my spots,I liked to lay in the sun,so my face was pretty damaged. Series of Chemical Peels On Face
I originally went to take care of brown spots under my eyes caused by the sun and tanning in tanning beds. I did not see a big difference after the first session. That session was pain free,I felt some tingling. Because I did well with the first session,we stepped up the percentage of the peel in my second session (went from 40% to 70%). In my second session,there was a lot of burning. Nothing terrible,but I could definitely feel it. My face was very red when I left and I had scabs the next day that lasted for several days. I was a bit nervous to return but I am so glad I did.
My third and fourth sessions,the 40 and 70% were mixed and she didn’t leave it on for long. In my third session,I lost at least five years off my forehead. It was a couple days after the peel and microdermabrasion that I noticed how fantastic my forehead looked. I also noticed my skin color started to really even out,as I have always had red patches on my cheeks. After my fourth session,I noticed the brown spots are hardly visible anymore.
I’m having my fifth treatment tomorrow and I cannot wait. My 20 year high school reunion is in two weeks and I feel great!
I went to get rid of the sun spots and have gotten much more than I thought I was paying for. My skin is smoother and prettier and younger. She told me that after my series of six,I can come in once or twice a year to maintain my skin. I am very happy with my results!

Peels Can Bring On Cold sore or Shingles
Everything was fine (well irritating,but I was ready to suffer) until day 3d,when all of a sudden blisters developed all over my face! Very painful and just terrible As with any viral infection of this kind,everything hurts like hell –my neck,my ears,my eyes,my lymph nodes and let alone the entire face 
Emergency care is already closed for the day,so I have to wait till morning to get to the doctor’s office and get some help.
Unfortunately –and I learned it too late –people with history of cold sores might develop such reactions. I wish I knew it before the procedure! So here is the warning,ladies,be careful!
Peel Made My Skin Discolorations Worse
Medium depth peel was done to remove a small lentigo (skin discoloration) on my upper lip. The result is a large darkened area where the peel was done which is much more noticeable than the lentigo that was supposed to be removed by the procedure.
The Dr. could have chosen a different method to remove the lentigo that may not have caused me to have this problem now.
